Policies

Hollyhock Farms Bed and Breakfast is intended for people who want a quiet, sometimes romantic, but always fulfilling stay in one of the most beautiful counties in the state. To effect this, we must embrace a few general rules.

Cancellations. We require a ten-day notice with full refund…fifteen days notice is required for holiday or special event weekends (i.e., wine festival). If we can re-book the cancellation, we will refund the total amount.

Pets. We generally restrict pets but will consider special cases. Inquire and discuss your pet situation.

Minimum stay. Two day minimum stay for the Cottage on weekends and a two day minimum stay for the Bungalow at all times.

Smoking. Strictly prohibited in all dwellings and only allowed on patios and decks. Smoking is not allowed in our fields in that it can cause Tobacco Mosaic Virus which is lethal for tomato plants (we are a farm).

Children. We love children but many of our guests, who have children, come here as a “getaway” and to enjoy peace and quiet. The Cottage is designed for couples and the Bungalow is ideal for a family setting. Children under ten years of age are not a good mix as we have animals (cats, a dog and free roaming chickens).

Check in/out. Check-in time is 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. Check-out is 12:00 noon. Other arrangements must be approved beforehand.
