home
Hollyhock Farms is not only a beautiful slice of country living, it is one of the few remaining “small organic farms” that, unfortunately, are becoming a thing of the past. Located in the heart of the Central Coast of California, Hollyhock Farms Bed & Breakfast is the smart choice for your Paso Robles wine experience or just to relax and unwind.
We have spared no expense to provide a very comfortable home away from home. Double pillow-top mattresses, state-of-the-art climate control, and unmatched gourmet breakfasts to start your day. Perhaps the best recommendation is the fact that we experience dozens of return visits (one couple is coming back for their eighth stay!).
You can be sure that the quality of your experience here will match anything you hope to find in higher priced accommodations, but don’t be surprised if you find us in the field picking tomatoes or if you are greeted by one of our many chickens. The “Farm Stay” is a wonderful part of our operation. In the cottage we host couples (or singles) who to wish to experience the peace and quiet of rural living. The bungalow can accommodate up to four people and boasts a magnificent view.

accommodations
Tucked in the rolling hills of the Templeton draw, the cottage offers what few others can -- the charm, beauty and pleasant wonders of an organic farm. Removed from the traffic and bustle of town, yet just minutes from Paso Robles or Atascadero and the 180 plus wineries of the Paso Robles Wine Region.

the cottage
Our cottage is private and secure. It has a queen size, double-pillow top mattress (many have asked us for the manufacturer), a state-of-the-art climate control system (by remote in bed!). It contains a wet-bar, sitting area furnished with country antiques, a wood-burning stove and a vcr-satellite unit with dozens of first-rate movies. For those who need to stay connected, the cottage is equipped with wireless internet service. If you have dietary restrictions, your gourmet breakfast will be tailored to those needs. At Hollyhock Farms we believe great food starts with fresh local ingredients. Fresh eggs and produce raised on our farm along with local breads, cheeses and grass fed meats purchased at local farmers markets will make for a memorable meal. Breakfasts are served family-style and lively conversation is always assured. Guests frequently ask us for recipies. Favorites include crepes with seasonal fruits, oatmeal and thyme pancakes, and Mediterranean eggs with maple glazed bacon. After breakfast, you may choose to explore our 30-acre farm. Our “honor system” roadside stand is a favorite with locals and offers an abundance of just picked fruits and vegetables. Depending on the time of year, you can pick “out of this world” peaches, grapes, pluots, apples, melons, heirloom tomatoes--you get the picture. You can also select your own eggs from one of our chicken houses. In the evening, relax on the patio or deck with a glass of locally-produced award-winning wine, or pick a bouquet from our “bargain bouquet” flower field, or check out our home-made items in the flower shop.

the bungalow
Set back on a knoll ¼ mile off the road, the bungalow affords, privacy, comfort a feeling of intimacy with nature. Deer and fox visit daily. It features two bedrooms (one King and one Queen) and two baths with central air/heat, a 36” satellite television with dvd, a wood-burning stove and a comfy deck with a gas BBQ and a five-star view complete the setting. The bungalow has a full kitchen, however, guests are offered a full gourmet breakfast for one of the days of their stay.
